Wedding suit hire: Top Tips

This month we’d like to offer you some wedding suit hire top tips! By following these simple steps, you can help to ensure that the process of hiring a wedding suit runs smoothly.

Book your first fitting well in advance!

After you’ve had your initial consultation with us, it’s essential you book in your first fittings. We suggest aiming for 6 months in advance of your wedding date. 

Our diary gets booked up quickly, so booking as soon as possible is a must. If you’ve looked at our online diary and found no appointments available, we will not be able to squeeze you in. If the appointments online are gone, they really are gone!

We’re always keen to avoid disappointment, so remember, book your first fittings as soon as you possibly can.

Second Fittings

Remember to book second fittings!

We recommend booking your second fitting in around 4-6 weeks before your wedding. This fitting allows us to check your measurements again, which offers you the peace of mind that any body changes that have occurred since the first fitting can be accommodated.⠀

It’s important to note that you cannot make any changes to your order after the second fitting, so please make sure you keep us updated on your requirements.⠀

Wedding Suit Collection

We highly recommend waiting until we’ve been in touch with you before you come to collect your wedding suit. We encourage customers to do this because some suits are not ready until late afternoon on the day of collection, so it’s best to wait until you’ve had a call from us with a specific time. 

We also recommend collecting the suits as soon as possible once you have a collection time, as leaving it too late can cause potential issues if someone needs a different garment. We’re always here to help, so if you’re concerned about collection, just give us a call and we’ll talk you through it.

When hiring your wedding suit from Astares, please be aware that our collection point is at our unit, not the shop! 

The collections unit is just around the corner from our shop. All you need to do is let us know the day and time you would like to come along. The address is:

PO9 1BU. 

This address is for collections and returns only.

Emergency Change Overs!

Once you’ve collected your wedding suits, it’s vital that everyone tries them on at home. 

If you require any change overs, please remember we need at least two working days’ notice before the wedding. Anything requests received with less than two days’ notice unfortunately cannot be guaranteed.⠀

 ⠀We always try to avoid any change overs with the second fitting, but sometimes these things happen! Please do not stress or worry, we will get these sorted for you.⠀

Returning your wedding suit hire

We ask that all garments – including suit bags –  must be returned the next working day, before 5pm at our unit. ⠀
